ALLOWABLE TRANSVERSE LOADS (PSF)

FOR TYPE A and TYPE C SANDWICH PANELS

 

Panel A is made of two equal layers of 7/16" APA rated (24/16) OSB.
Panel C is made of a layer of 7/16" OSB APA rated (24/16) and a layer of 19/32" plywood.
Each skin is rated (24/16). Each type has a core of 0.95 pcf minimum density EPS foam adhered to the sheathing with glue and set under pressure.

Notes:
1. Values shown in tables are the allowable dead load plus live load.
2. Controlling conditions: "s" shear, "m" moment, "d" deflection.
3. Minimum bearing required is 3 inches.
4. Deflection criteria is L/240 for roof loads.
5. All loads are normal duration loads. No duration factors are allowed.
6. For permanent or long-duration loads (>6 mos.) use 1/2 the tabulated  load values to minimize creep deflection.
